Don’t get too mesmerized by celebrities wearing fashionable outfits. Before heading to the mall, evaluate first their style and see if you can adapt it and at the same time look good on you. Most of those artists may be dressed for a fashion shoot or a magazine and won’t really be practical for everyday use.

Your wardrobe should consist of the following: formal office wear/business attire (these can be worn on emergency cocktail parties or even formal occasions), casual/informal garments (comfy cargo pants, T-shirt, jeans, polo shirts, etc.), sports wear (jogging pants, drawstring shorts, board shorts, etc.), winter apparel (sweaters, jackets, wind breakers, pullovers, etc.). Having these items readily available in your closet will save you a lot of time and trouble thinking of what to wear.

Accentuate your outfit with accessories.

A funky accessory can easily pull off a simple attire. Essential accessories are trendy belts, sleek eye wears, trendy watches, fashionable scarves, stylish hats, cufflinks, jewelry, etc. Go easy with jewelry though as you don’t want to look too glittery and glam. A nice necklace or a ring would do.

Pay attention to your footwear.

Got too many sneakers? Next time, purchase a good pair of leather shoes for special occasions; it’s a great investment. Opt for some cool sandals and leather thongs when summer season kicks in. During winter, you can wear a pair of stylish winter boots. Keep in mind to polish your shoes before heading out.

Smell nicely.

If you want to boost your confidence wearing your lovely attire, go ahead and spray on some refreshing perfume/cologne. Just make sure to wear only the right amount of fragrance as too much of it can be annoying to most people. If unsure, put some at the back of your ears and on your wrists. That should do perfectly.

Being stylish is a lot of work, but once you adapt these tips, you are on your way to become a fashion icon. Whichever of the above guidelines you wish to follow, don’t sacrifice comfort and durability over style; otherwise everything will be futile.
