The "Waldorf Barbershop" has been trading on Westmoreland Street, Dublin, since 1929.
It was originally located on the site now occupied by the Westin Hotel.
In 1946 due to popular demand a second branch opened across the street and it was wonderfully named "The Adare".
In the 1970s with the popularity of long hair and unisex hairdressing the two branches merged into one and became known as:
"The Waldorf Adare".
Now the shop has been restored to its former glory with terrazzo floors, original chairs and wooden units.
It's a piece of Irish history just waiting to be discovered.
